Kapa Cat Dismisses Romance Links to Former VP Gilbert Bukenya

Ugandan dancehall singer Kapa Cat has dismissed rumors linking her to a romantic relationship with Prof. Gilbert Bukenya.

Speaking to YouTuber Nambwayo Mary, the “Sikyo” hitmaker called the rumors baseless and explained the kind of relationship she actually has with the former Vice President.

He is my good friend. When I was starting out, I met him through a certain gentleman. He liked my music, was very supportive, and I also decided to be supportive of him.

Kapa Cat criticized Ugandans for rushing to judgment and stereotyping.

You know Ugandans. To them, a female cannot be a friend to a male. It is very difficult.

She also dismissed claims that her lifestyle must have a powerful person behind it, insisting that success is possible through hard work.

It is possible to achieve something like that. It is entirely possible to do so without having someone powerful behind you when you have worked for it yourself.

Looks like Kapa Cat is putting rumors to rest while proving she built her success the hard way.
