Kapeke Apologizes After Abrupt Roast and Rhyme Stage Exit

Kapeke has apologized to fans after abruptly walking off stage during his performance at the Roast and Rhyme ‘Reggae Ragga Nyam Nyam’ Edition, a moment that left many in the crowd confused.

The trending singer, real name Derrick Nsubuga, had just started his set at Lugogo Hockey Grounds on March 22 to loud cheers when the performance suddenly took a turn.

Midway through his hit track “Kaba,” a sound glitch disrupted the show.

Unable to continue, he exited the stage with his dancers, management, and security team, cutting the performance short.

The move quickly drew mixed reactions online, with some fans questioning why he did not push through despite the excitement in the crowd.

By the next morning, Kapeke addressed the incident directly.

He pointed to the technical issues as the reason for his exit, saying the performance could not go on as planned.

Sorry, my people, for not performing to your expectations because of bad sound.

Meanwhile, some fans have defended him, noting that poor sound can make it difficult for an artiste to perform properly.
