Kapeke Reflects on 2025 Success as “Kaba” Crossed Every Circle

If Ugandan music in 2025 is the conversation, then “Kaba” by Kapeke sits right at the center of it.

The song was everywhere. From clubs and street corners to radio playlists and social media timelines, “Kaba” became impossible to escape.

Its influence stretched far beyond entertainment, spilling into political spaces as top politicians were also seen vibing to the hit.

When a song moves both the streets and the suits, you know it has landed differently.

For Kapeke, 2025 was not just another year. It was the moment when success began translating into visible, real life change.

Reflecting on his biggest moments of the year, he revealed to Flexx just how much had changed for him and those around him

I have had many big moments in 2025. I went abroad, on a plane. I will not say it is not a dope thing, especially since it was my first time. I also got off boda bodas and bought a car… I have two cars… Life changed for my boys. They are looking good, and they no longer be there worried about how they are going to make it through the day… My mum, she is no longer looking for Shs 10K.

Kapeke added that none of the progress he saw in 2025 was by chance, firmly crediting God for lifting his career to a new level.

For me perosnally, I thank God that he elevated my career from where it was in 2024 to something much bigger in 2025. I am very grateful for how 2025 turned out.

Beyond the charts and viral moments, Kapeke’s story in 2025 was about progress you can touch.

First flights, new cars, financial stability, and peace of mind for family and friends.

The kind of wins that go far deeper than streams and applause.
