Kapeke Refuses to Submit, Tells Grammys to Look for His Music

Kapeke has no time for Grammy rules and he is not shy about saying so.

Appearing on Rewind, the “Kaba” hitmaker brushed off the idea of submitting his music for consideration.

He believes the award organizers should be the ones searching for his work.

I do not need to submit, they have to look for the songs. My job is to sing.

Even after being reminded that the Grammy process requires artistes to submit their music, Kapeke stuck to his word.

He made it clear that he is not chasing awards and that international trophies are nowhere near his priorities.

His focus, he said, is on building a better life for himself and the people around him.

I am not after Grammys. I am after a good life. I am after changing my life, the lives of the people around me, and the life of my mother at home. That is all I am after.
