Kapeke Says He Does Not Know Ziza Bafana, Reveals Big Artistes He Would Never Work With
In a rare twist from the usual question about dream collaborations, fast-rising singer Kapeke was recently asked which musicians he would refuse to work with, no matter how much money they offered.
When asked in a media interview if he would work with Uncle Chumi, he said she has an interesting personality and there is a chance they could find a way to collaborate.
For Spice Diana, his response was an easy yes.
And for Sheebah Karungi, his excitement was even louder, saying “absolutely” and joking that he would give her everything of his.
However, when the name Ziza Bafana came up, Kapeke said a firm no, explaining that he does not work with people he does not know.
On the subject of Cindy Sanyu, Kapeke said she is not from his generation.
While he acknowledged her undeniable talent, he added that talent is not the only factor he considers when choosing collaborators.
According to him, an artiste needs to be current and making waves, and in his opinion, Cindy does not fit that category.
He gave a green light to working with Mudra but did not have the same energy for Nato Boss, Gaza Boss, or Biso Bisala. On all three, he simply said he cannot work with them.
As for Bebe Cool, Kapeke was respectful but clear.
He said Bebe Cool is a big name in the industry but maintained that he only works with artistes from his own generation.
So a collaboration between the two is off the table.
