Kapeke Slams Industry Stunts: “You End Up Breaking People’s Hearts”
Kapeke ‘Yah Noh Say’ has no love for clout chasing in the music industry, and he is not keeping quiet about it.
The rising singer is calling out fellow musicians who rely on publicity stunts to stay in the spotlight, warning that these tactics do more harm than good.
Stunts have downsides. You can end up hurting someone. You know fans; they consume whatever you give them. You might do a stunt and end up hurting so many people without even realizing it. You break people’s hearts just because you want to trend.
His no-nonsense take comes as more artistes -turn to over-the-top antics to grab attention online, often blurring the line between entertainment and emotional manipulation.
However, the “Kaba” hit-maker believes some stunts deserve credit, especially when they come from real life situations.
On that note, he gave props to Alien Skin for flipping a negative into something brilliant.
Anyone who turns a real-life event into a stunt is a genius. Take Alien Skin for example. When his cars were vandalized, it was not a stunt per se because it was a real-life event. But he used the damaged in his ‘Talent’ music video. That shows he is clever.
