Kapere Lufotose is keeping things simple but intentional this Valentine’s Day.

The city comedian says that when it comes to love, he believes in giving his wife, Lydia Nakandi, the freedom to choose what truly makes her happy instead of guessing the perfect gift.

I simply get money and give it to my beautiful wife, so it is up to her to buy any gift she feels like. Last year, my wife bought me a very nice item that made me feel like a real man. Surely, I was very happy that day.

Beyond the usual gifts, Kapere hinted that this year will come with a surprise.

He revealed plans for a special getaway, keeping the location a secret from his wife.

This time around, I am planning to take my wife out to a special place she has no idea about, and it is far from Kampala.

Lydia, however, had her own message.

Responding to critics who once predicted their marriage would not last, she made it clear that their relationship is stronger than ever.

I do not have any advice for people who said our marriage would end in tears. As you can see, we are still together. I thank my husband for loving me and for the care he gives me, and I promise to make him happy every day.
