Loosely translated as “Uganda is fun,” the words quickly captured the nation’s mood.
Social media came alive with conversations, posts, hashtags, and memes. Influencers, celebrities, and everyday Ugandans embraced the phrase, giving it life beyond politics.
The excitement soon spilled into the music scene, with Omega 256, Acidic Vokoz, Fefe Bussi, and Mark Da Urban collaborating to turn the slogan into a song.
Premiered on NBS After 5, “Ki Uganda Kinyuma” blends rap, dancehall, and R&B in a spirited celebration of Uganda and the joy of being Ugandan.
What began as a catchy political phrase has now grown into a cultural movement, showing that inspiration can come from unexpected places, even within the corridors of government.
Uganda is listening. Uganda is singing. Uganda is dancing. But most importantly: Ki Uganda Kinyuma.
