Kasuku Warns Against Overdoing Celebrity Fights in Ugandan Boxing

During a conversation with Sanyuka TV, Isaac Daniel Katende, popularly known as Kasuku, said that celebrity boxing is helping boost Ugandan showbiz and could also promote the sport of boxing.

However, he cautioned that if overdone, celebrity fights might overshadow professional boxers.

Kasuku emphasized that these celebrity fights should only be held occasionally to attract attention to the sport without diminishing its core essence.

He also advised that celebrity fights should always be accompanied by real matches featuring professional fighters.

Kasuku noted that celebrity bouts should come second last on the schedule, just before the main professional boxing event, to keep the audience engaged throughout the program.

He mentioned that the boxing match between singers Rickman Manrick and Grenade Official, scheduled for December 26, 2024, could work in their favor, as neither currently has trending hits.

Kasuku also pointed out that Grenade is planning to hold a concert and would benefit from the publicity generated by the boxing match.

Regarding the tension between Rickman and Grenade, which is reportedly linked to Sheila Gashumba, Kasuku stated that it is no longer valid.

He explained that earlier reports claimed Sheila had affairs with both artistes, but she has since clarified that she never had an affair with Grenade.
