Kataleya & Kandle on Staying United Despite Following Different Religions

In a world where differences often divide, female singing duo Kataleya & Kandle are showing us that friendship and music can conquer all.

During a chat on Faith Unfiltered, Kataleya revealed her faith saying, “I am a Muslim. My Muslim name is Hadija.”

Not to be outdone, Kandle shared, “I am a Christian of the Protestant denomination.”

But do not be fooled. These two have been inseparable since childhood.

Kandle explained that religion was never a dealbreaker.

We got to know each other back when we were still children. At that stage, religion is not something one keenly focuses on. I was at Kyambogo College School and a child left her school and came to mine and we became friends. We started hanging out, became very close and the rest is now history. We discovered that we could both sing and even started doing business together. We did not look at our differences. We just liked each other as we were.

Kataleya & Kandle prove that religious differences do not have to divide friends who share respect and common goals.
