Katrina Denies Rift with Sheilah Gashumba Over Rickman
Socialite and fashionista Katrina Nilzero, real name Sumaya Kayondo, has finally addressed rumors about her relationship with media personality Sheilah Gashumba.
Once close friends, speculation suggested that their fallout was over Ugandan singer Rickman Manrick, and some even claim that bad blood persists to this day.
But in an interview with Tawfiq Media, Katrina cleared the air, saying she has no hard feelings toward Sheilah.
I do not have an issue with her. I just see her. I do not have a problem with her. Even if I found her somewhere, or we were in the same place, nothing would happen.
She admitted that they were once close but emphasized that people naturally outgrow each other.
We were close, but people outgrow each other, and that is something you have failed to understand. If a parent can die and you forget about them and come to terms with it, how about someone you just met in Kampala? I have never had an argument with her. I do not have a problem with her. I do not wish her anything bad, and I am okay.
She added that the distance between them is simply due to life changes and personal growth, not bad blood.
Because when did I last talk to her, like two or three years ago? I have bought a house, and her businesses are booming as well. My shop is here… we do not help each other. Katrina is Katrina, and Sheilah Gashumba is Sheilah Gashumba. She has her own life, and I also have mine. We are totally different. I am a model by profession. The only thing I think we can share is that she is photogenic, and I am also photogenic.
Katrina urged people to get the facts directly from them instead of believing rumors, stressing that she harbors no ill will toward Sheilah.
Let the rumors swirl. The person you are supposed to get the truth from is me or her, but I am telling you, I have never had an argument with her. I have no problem with her, and I wish her all the best. People outgrow each other, and you grow. Do you mean to tell me that we were supposed to be together forever?
She concluded by dismissing claims that her relationship with Sheilah soured over Rickman.
I heard those rumors as well, and I was like, Rickman? Now, take it from me. Anyone who knows me, even Sheilah herself, knows this… I cannot be with Rickman. First of all, I have never dated a man in his youth. We are both in our 20s. I date above 30. Rickman is my brother, and I respect him so much.
