Kenzo Rules Out Contesting for a Seat in Parliament Come 2026
Singer Eddy Kenzo has clarified that he has no intention of entering politics or contesting for a parliamentary seat in 2026.
Addressing the speculation, he emphasized that he is not a politician and has no plans to run for any office.
Kenzo, who serves as the President of the Uganda Musicians Federation and as a Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives, explained that his current roles are purely driven by his desire to improve the music industry.
He stated that his involvement stems from a commitment to addressing issues within his profession, including fostering unity among Ugandan musicians and creating a better working environment for himself and others.
The “Sitya Loss” singer stressed that the positions he holds are not about a passion for leadership but rather a responsibility to tackle longstanding challenges in the industry.
Finally, Kenzo noted that once he resolves these challenges, he intends to step aside and allow others to take over while he focuses on different pursuits.
