Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner Deny Ray J Sex Tape Claims
Nearly two decades after the release of a controversial video involving Kim Kardashian and Ray J, the dispute surrounding it has resurfaced in court.
Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner have strongly denied accusations that they orchestrated the release of the tape.
The video, titled Kim Kardashian Superstar, was recorded in 2003 during Kardashian and Ray J’s relationship before being released in 2007 by Vivid Entertainment.
In court documents, Kardashian dismissed claims that she and her mother planned the tape’s release to generate publicity.
His claim that I had a plan with my mother and others to release a sex tape, defraud the public and file a ‘fake’ lawsuit against the porn company that released it to create buzz is a lie.
She also rejected allegations that her family was involved in racketeering or other criminal activity.
Jenner issued her own sworn statement denying involvement.
Ray J’s insinuations that I masterminded the sex tape and its release are absolutely false. In no world would I ever be involved in any way, shape or form of peddling tapes of my daughter like this.
The dispute has intensified as Ray J continues to insist the tape’s release was planned. Kardashian and Jenner responded by filing a defamation lawsuit accusing him of spreading false allegations.
Ray J later told TMZ that the declarations made by Kardashian and Jenner were untrue and suggested their statements could amount to perjury.
His mother, Sonja Norwood, has also entered the debate publicly, defending her son and questioning the Kardashian family’s version of events.
