King Saha Vows to March to Parliament Over Copyright Law
Ugandan singer King Saha has responded to Eddy Kenzo’s earlier contemplation of resigning as president of the Ugandan National Musicians Federation.
Speaking to Sanyuka Uncut, the “Ebiseera Ebyo” star said Kenzo is free to step down if he wishes.
He also reaffirmed his own position as president of musicians in the country.
I have never resigned from being the president of the artistes in Uganda. Even though I do not sit in the office, I am still active. If Eddy Kenzo has failed and is leaving this position, that is his choice… but I have always been advocating for the rights of artistes.
He also outlined his next move regarding the copyright amendment.
Very soon, I will be marching straight to Parliament to demand the copyright law. That is my main focus. Once copyright is granted to artistes, everything else will follow.
King Saha further clarified that he has never received any money from the federation, taking a firm stance against comparisons to others in the industry.
Stop comparing me with your cheap artistes who only wear chains and flashy clothes. I am beyond that level.
