Kwasi Aboagye Calls Time on Radio Career After 20 Years
Kwasi Aboagye, one of Ghana’s most recognized radio personalities, is retiring from the airwaves after more than 20 years in the industry. His final show will be on December 13, 2025.
The media veteran made the announcement on social media and said he plans to focus on his law career next. He thanked his colleagues at Despite Media and the listeners who have followed his career over the years.
Kwasi started his radio journey in 1996 at Radio Univers. He joined Peace FM in 1999, the year the station started under Despite Media, and quickly became a familiar voice in Ghanaian homes. At Peace FM and later on Neat FM, he hosted popular shows that covered both entertainment and politics.
Over the years, Kwasi has also worked as an artiste manager, including for legendary highlife musician Amakye Dede. He served as board chairman of the Ghana Music Awards USA, showing his influence went beyond just radio.
