Leave Our Husbands, Irene Ntale Warns Side Chicks

As a firm believer in the sacred union of marriage, Ugandan singer Irene Ntale has long been vocal against the concept of side chicks.

Now married, she says her frustration with women who pursue married men has reached an all-time high.

Speaking on Dispora Connect UG, Irene directly addressed the issue, asking side chicks to leave married men alone.

She questioned why women who do not want marriage would get involved with husbands.

I do not want anything to do with side chicks. Leave our husbands. The other thing is that they say they do not want marriage. My question then is, if you do not want marriage, why are you going for someone else’s husband? Just stay where you are, with others who, like you, do not want marriage, and love each other.

On the topic of trust in her own marriage, Irene revealed that their phones are off-limits to each other.

No, I cannot check my husband’s phone. I would not because it is his private property. He also cannot go through my phone. He cannot even ask to look at it because I will ask him why. I cannot ask for his phone either.

Irene Ntale got married on October 17, 2025, to her fiancé, Vincent Kalibbala.

The wedding took place at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Rubaga, following a traditional introduction ceremony in Kulambiro, Kampala.
