Liam Voice Urges Artistes to Shift Focus From TikTok to Streaming Platforms
After declaring himself the most streamed Ugandan musician on Boomplay with 45.7 million streams, Liam Voice is not slowing down.
Instead, he is doubling down on streaming platforms and making them a top priority this year.

Speaking to YouTuber Allan Cruz, the soulful singer said many artistes have been sleeping on the power of digital streaming, even though love songs continue to dominate online.
For him, the turning point came when he realized that streaming platforms can push music far beyond local borders and into global spaces, prompting him to take them seriously.
Love songs do well on streaming platforms, but I think in the past most of us have not been minding matters related to online streaming. Me personally, this year I am very much focused on them. I realized that these platforms help music reach people everywhere you go.
Liam Voice went on to caution artistes against thinking that success on one platform is enough, especially TikTok.
TikTok blinded people. Some people think that when they reach TikTok they are set, but there are certain people who do not listen to music through TikTok. Some are for Spotify, others Apple Music. So when you make sure that you have given all these platforms equal attention, it helps you, in that your music reaches everyone.
He explained that every platform has its own audience, and spreading music across all of them gives an artiste a bigger reach and better returns.
The local person who cannot pay for Spotify can go to TikTok. The one who cannot go to TikTok should go to Shazam. The one who cannot manage Shazam can go to YouTube. So these platforms help, and they pay some good amount of money.
