Lil Pazo Lunabe Fires Back at Bebe Cool List Critics, Insists Only Widely Heard Music Counts
Ugandan singer Lil Pazo Lunabe has hit back at critics of the recently released Bebe Cool List, arguing that exclusion from the list does not mean an artiste lacks talent but reflects the extent of public listenership their music achieved last year.
Lunabe made the remarks after the Bebe Cool List 2025 sparked debate across social media and music communities.
The list, put together by veteran artist Bebe Cool to highlight artists and songs he believes shaped the music year, included tracks such as “Ekisododo” by Lil Pazo Lunabe featuring Latinum, which saw notable audience engagement.
Lunabe said that appearing on the Bebe Cool List signals that a song reached a broad audience and was “vastly listened to” over the year, and that much of the criticism misunderstands the intent behind the list.
He stressed that while some dismiss the list as a joke, it is taken seriously by those whose work earned placement through significant listenership and impact.
