Lilian Mbabazi Speaks Her Truth on Drug Abuse Rumors

Lilian Mbabazi, a member of the iconic girl group Blu*3, has firmly denied long-standing rumors about her drug abuse that have circulated on social media over the years.

These speculations gained traction, particularly because Mbabazi was closely associated with Jackie Chandiru, who struggled with drug addiction.

Speaking in a recent interview, Lilian, while admitting to occasionally drinking alcohol, emphasized that she had never experimented with drugs.

“I have never done drugs. I may drink a little alcohol, but I have never used drugs,” she said.

She also acknowledged the pressures faced by many musicians and celebrities, which can sometimes lead them down a destructive path, including drug use.

Such pressures, often stemming from media criticism, the struggle to remain relevant, or the fear of losing social status, can take a toll on their mental health.

In spite of these challenges, Lilian shared her personal approach to handling pressure, both from within the industry and the public.

“Just like anyone else, we are human. When people say hurtful things, it affects us, but there is nothing you can do,” she said, adding, “You need to have a strong backbone to survive in this industry. It comes with the territory.”

She concluded by encouraging her fellow artistes to stay strong, as resilience is key to surviving in such a demanding profession.
