Macha UG Reflects on Son’s Death, Warns Against Posting Children Online
Macha UG has opened up about her healing journey after losing her baby boy.
The Ugandan dancer, often known as the “Queen of Dance,” suffered the loss in late 2024, a moment that deeply changed her life.
In an interview with Tawfiq Media, she said she is now in a better place emotionally, even though the pain has not fully gone away.
She added that over time, she has learned how to cope with grief and deal with hurtful comments.
I am healed. I may not be 100%, but I can no longer cry while talking about it. Even when someone makes a comment on TikTok like, “that is why your child…” it no longer hurts me because I have learned to live with it. So, statements like “that is why your child died” no longer hurt me. And the people who say such things will also die one day.
While she acknowledged that her child had been sick, Macha said she believes there was more to what happened, pointing to negative supernatural energy from people, especially on social media.
My child died, and yes, he was sick, but I also believe there is something beyond that. People have bad tongues. They can say something good to your face, but deep down in their hearts it is different. People are very difficult. They also have bad eyes and mouths. They say many things, whether in your presence or not, and it affects you.

From that experience, she said she has changed how she handles her private life, especially when it comes to posting children on social media.
The next time I give birth, you will know I am a mother, but I will never post my child again. I feel we should have limits when it comes to our children.
She added that the same approach now guides how she handles her love life.
Even when I am in love, if you see me posting any man, just know he is only a friend. Posting the man I love? I will never do that again
