Madubarah Claims Chameleone Turned His Back on Him While in Prison

Shoe hawker and content creator Madubarah, real name Juma Musuuza, is opening up after his release from prison, sharing what happened during his time behind bars.

Madubarah walked free in October 2025 after spending about a year behind bars, following his arrest in November 2024 on charges of hate speech and spreading malicious information about the First Family.

Upon his release, he headed straight to the home of King Saha, a move that quickly got people talking.

Speaking during a sit down with Tawfiq Media, he explained that King Saha stood by him throughout his time in prison.

Every time I called him, he would pick. I like someone I can call and they pick up no matter what I am going to tell them… I used to call him and ask for something to eat because prison food had failed me. He would send someone. Now that is a true friend.

Turning his attention to Jose Chameleone, Madubarah said things did not go as he had hoped.

His attempt to get help from the veteran singer ended with him being turned away.

I called Chameleone, and he told me to handle my own issues. Yet I considered him a friend. I called him myself, and it was his voice.

From that experience, he said he now considers King Saha his best friend.

As for Chameleone, he said he chose to let it go and move on.

I forgave him at heart because I got to understand the kind of person I was dealing with. It is important to know people for who they truly are.

Madubarah also revealed that several other people checked on him while he was in prison, including TikTokers MC Mayor, Doreen Kabina, and Slivia Auto Parts.

He added that members of the National Unity Platform, including Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, Joel Ssenyonyi, and David Lewis Rubongoya, also visited him, alongside Nubian Li and singer Dax Vibez.
