Madubarah Released from Luzira Prison After Serving One-Year Sentence
Controversial content creator Musuuza Juma, popularly known as Madubarah, has been released from Luzira Prison after serving a one-year sentence.
Known for his fearless and unfiltered commentary, Madubarah was arrested in October 2024 following a complaint from a Special Forces Command liaison officer.
In August 2025, Entebbe Senior Magistrate Grade One, Edgar Tibayeita Tusiime, sentenced him to 12 months in prison for hate speech and spreading malicious information targeting President Yoweri Museveni, Speaker Anita Among, and Gen. Muhoozi.
During his time behind bars, Madubarah remained a polarizing figure online, with supporters calling for his release and critics condemning his statements as provocative.
After his release, he quickly reconnected with friends and the creative community.
In a heartwarming gesture, he visited musician King Saha at his home in Nakawuka, where the artiste is recovering from illness.
