Marrying When Still Renting Makes No Sense, Says Tom Dee

Ugandan singer Tom Dee and his TikTok star partner welcomed their first child on December 4, 2025.

Fans and fellow entertainers took to social media to send congratulations and celebrate the new addition to the family.

With the arrival of the baby, many have been curious about when Tom plans to propose and start planning the wedding.

Speaking to Sanyuka TV, the “Omuzabbibu” star explained that he takes marriage very seriously and wants to approach it carefully.

He said anyone considering marriage must first prepare themselves properly.

I think everyone should first ready themselves. It is very important to prepare properly before having a wedding. I do not want to have just any kind of wedding.

He also revealed that he does not want to rely on fundraising or external help to make his wedding happen.

I also do not want to start a fundraising group because I do not have the capacity. You have not even built a house, then you get someone’s daughter and put them in a rental. That does not make sense.

He wrapped up by stressing that you need to have your life in order before stepping into a wedding.

You have to work first, and then get into marriage functions.
