Martin Beta Dismisses Claims He Controls UNMF SACCO
Martin Beta Muhumuza has dismissed claims that he personally makes decisions about the SACCO under the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).
Beta, who serves as a key strategist and advisor within the federation’s leadership circle, says the body operates under clear structures and regulations.
According to him, some of the criticism directed at him comes from musicians who do not fully understand how the SACCO operates.
The SACCO has structures and regulations. No single person wakes up and makes decisions alone.
He added that several artistes who were once vocal critics of the initiative have since changed their position.
Among them is Ziza Bafana, who Beta said had previously opposed the SACCO but has now rejoined.
At the same time, Beta notes that some of the loudest voices against the initiative have recently gone quiet, including King Saha.
Some people were speaking a lot before, but now they are quiet. Others have even joined the SACCO they were criticizing.
Despite the earlier criticism, Martin Beta insists the UNMF SACCO remains committed to operating transparently and following its established rules.
In the end, the truth always comes out, and the SACCO will continue working for the benefit of its members.
