Ugandan singer Mary Bata has opened up about her decision to stop bleaching and return to her natural skin.
Speaking during an appearance on Daily Soup, the “Salute” hitmaker admitted that she previously lightened her skin but has since chosen a different path.
According to her, the shift was influenced by growth and a demanding schedule.
Mary explained that balancing school and her music career left her with little time to maintain the routine that bleaching required.
She added that looking good takes effort, whether someone chooses to enhance their appearance or stay natural.
Now fully natural, Mary says she feels confident and appreciates the compliments she receives.
Still, she made it clear she has no regrets about her past choice.
I do not regret bleaching. I can still do it because it is possible, but I have a busy schedule. That is why I no longer bleach.
