Maulana Breaks Silence on Prison Ordeal and Family Reconciliation

Maulana has spoken about the family issues that led to his imprisonment in 2024 over child neglect allegations.

The comedian, born Ayidal Yusuf Kasozi and known as one half of the duo Maulana and Reign, addressed the matter during an appearance on Sanyuka Uncut.

He said the experience forced him to confront his responsibilities as a father and public figure.

According to him, he has since resolved the issues and reconciled with his family.

I sorted myself. I handled my family issues and now life is moving on well.

Maulana said the period taught him accountability and maturity.

Despite the setback, he continues to perform and maintains that his comedy career remains intact.

Life happens, but what matters is how you rise again.

Away from the controversy, Maulana also revealed that he is a trained electrical engineer.

He said engineering remains a key source of income and has helped him stay financially stable through uncertain times.

Comedy brings visibility, but engineering provides steady business.
