MC Kats Introduces the MC Kats Music Band

Ugandan media personality and music promoter MC Kats, born Edwin Katamba, has started something new.
After many years in the music business, he is now launching his own live band called MC Kats Music Band.
MC Kats says he has been part of the music industry for a long time.
He has worked as an emcee and helped many young artists grow.
But recently, he started to feel something was missing.
“I got tired. Everywhere I go, I hear the same amapiano beat. It is fun music, but I missed the soul. I missed real music with live instruments. Music that touches your chest, not just your feet.”
That feeling pushed him to start a live band. The MC Kats Music Band will focus on real instruments like drums, saxophones and live vocals.
He wants people to enjoy music that is performed live and full of feeling.
“I am still renting equipment. We do not have everything yet. But we have the fire. The passion is real.”
MC Kats hopes this new project will bring something fresh to the Ugandan music scene.
He wants to remind people of the power of live music and real performances.
