Ghanaian rapper Medikal has stirred up controversy by saying his latest hit single is keeping the country’s music scene alive.

Medikal claimed that his track “Shoulder,” featuring Shatta Wale and Beeztrap KOTM, is the song that has revived Ghanaian music in 2025.

He boasted about his talent for dropping hit songs while still rapping hard for the streets, saying fans do not deserve his level of skill.

But his bold statements have split opinions online.

While some fans have praised the song’s success, many have pushed back against Medikal’s claim that “Shoulder” has saved the industry this year, saying it is an exaggeration.
