Melody Reveals the Logic Behind Releasing One Song a Year

Ugandan singer and songwriter Melody has a unique approach to releasing music.

Rather than putting out many songs at once, he prefers to space them out, usually releasing only one track a year.

He says this helps avoid overwhelming his fans.

The “Nkoleki” hitmaker revealed that he works on music on his own schedule, often taking a year or two to perfect each song before it reaches the public.

Even when a song is ready, he does not force it on listeners, believing that if it is truly good, people will naturally appreciate it.

Every year, I release one song. I do not want to overwhelm people. I release music when I want. I am someone who makes a song and spends about a year or two working on it before releasing it. And even when I release it, I do not force it on anyone. When something is good, it will be received and appreciated. Have you ever seen salt being advertised?
