Michael B. Jordan Shines as Sinners Wins Big at 2026 Oscars

The 98th Academy Awards saw history in the making as Paul Thomas Anderson won his first Oscars for One Battle After Another, which swept six awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Autumn Durald Arkapaw also made history as one of the few women recognized in cinematography, while Ludwig Göransson earned his third Academy Award for Best Original Score.

Acting milestones included Michael B. Jordan winning Best Actor for Sinners and Jessie Buckley earning Best Actress for Hamnet.

Supporting categories highlighted Sean Penn (One Battle After Another) and Amy Madigan (Weapons).

Animated films and international features also made their mark, with KPop Demon Hunters winning Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for Golden.

Hosted by Conan O’Brien at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the ceremony celebrated achievements, records, and milestones, highlighting 2025 as one of the most remarkable years in global cinema.
