Mikie Wine Calls Out Disloyal Ugandan Artistes

Ugandan singer Mikie Wine, born Michael Mukwaya, is gearing up to celebrate 15 years in the industry with a major concert at Kampala Serena Hotel on November 15.

Off stage, Mikie got candid about loyalty and gratitude in the music world.

Over the years, he has helped numerous artists rise to fame, shaping Uganda’s music scene along the way.

But not everyone has shown him the respect he deserves.

In a revealing chat with Sanyuka Uncut, Mikie spoke about artistes who forget the people who gave them a start and then talk behind their backs.

I cannot forgive that easily. Even if he or she asks for forgiveness, I can forgive, but I can never forget the act that was done before.

For Mikie Wine, respect and loyalty are just as important as talent.

Fame may fade but those who support you along the way should never be forgotten.
