Mimi Kampala Reveals Initial Fears of Rivalry With Gloria Bugie at Hit Boss
Rising artiste Mimi Kampala has opened up about the experience of joining a management team that already had a standout female name.
The “Bestie” singer recently signed with Hit Boss Entertainment, which is also home to Gloria Bugie.
While appearing on Level Up, she admitted that she had mixed feelings before making the move, as thoughts of competition, comparisons, and possible tension were already running through her mind.
I was scared at first because I was going to be under the same management as Gloria Bugie. You know most females are like, they have brought another artiste, so there is going to be competition and all that. And personally, I fear being compared to other people. I do not want to be compared. I also thought that people could create tension between us even when there is none.

But the fear and overthinking quickly faded after she joined, because Gloria Bugie turned out to be one of the most welcoming people on the team.
But I was so surprised that Gloria welcomed me more than anyone else. I did not expect that. The way she welcomed me, I was so surprised.
Mimi made it clear that they share a good relationship, showing that the situation turned out far differently from what she had imagined.
