Mr P Opens Up About His Biggest Fear: Poverty

Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has revealed that his biggest fear in life is poverty.

On a recent episode of the Nancy Isime Show, he explained that financial insecurity, not death, is what drives him to succeed.

He shared a vivid memory from his childhood when his family’s small rented apartment was suddenly demolished.

At the time, six brothers, two sisters, and their parents all lived in one cramped room separated only by a curtain.

The demolition happened without warning, forcing the family to leave and find a new place to live on short notice.

Reflecting on that experience, Mr P said it left a lasting impression.

Having faced poverty firsthand, he is determined never to return to such uncertainty.

He credits those early struggles for shaping his ambition and pushing him toward success in the music industry.
