Mudra D Viral Returns from Mecca, Hosts Thanksgiving Function
Ugandan singer Mudra D Viral recently returned from a spiritual journey to Mecca, where he visited the holy site believed to be the burial place of Prophet Muhammad.
To express his gratitude, he organized a thanksgiving function called Shukrul, an Arabic word meaning thankfulness.
It felt so cool being in such a holy place. It has always been my dream to go there, and I believe it is the wish of every devoted Muslim.
Mudra also opened up about his personal life, revealing that he has a special someone and explaining why he keeps her out of the public eye.
I have someone I love, but I prefer to keep her off camera because I’m now a public figure.
During the event, Mudra shared that he gave Winnie Wa Mummy to fellow artiste King Saha for mentorship and promotion.
King Saha still looks out for me, and I truly appreciate that.
Sheikh Mafo Shafic, a close friend of Mudra and a respected religious leader, also spoke at the event.
Mudra is a good friend. Today we were celebrating his safe return from Mecca. While Islam does not encourage singing, I believe Mudra will come to understand the teachings better with time.
He further encouraged Muslim artistes to reconnect with their Islamic teachings and strive to balance their careers with religious principles.
