Mun G: The Rapper Who Still Chooses the Soil
Ugandan rapper Mun G may command the mic, but his day begins on a farm, not in the studio as many might assume.
Appearing on Sanyuka TV’s Bigenda Bitya, Mun G opened up about a side of his life many fans rarely see.
“I wake up at 5 am, pray, listen to audiobooks, exercise, eat, and head to the farm,” he shared.
It is a routine grounded in purpose, one he says keeps him focused and fulfilled.
Farming, he explained, is something he inherited from his late father, a veterinary officer in Masaka.
“My father taught me that a man should build a meaningful life, face his problems, and stay grounded in values. I have never forgotten that.”
Even as he gears up for his biggest concert yet, “The Champions Ball” at Serena Hotel on August 30, Mun G’s love for the land has not faded.
Whether he is planting crops or rhyming verses, he is guided by the same core principles: discipline, legacy, and impact.
