Mun*G Dismisses Talk of Abandoning the Rap Game For Kidandali Music
Rapper Mungi Emmanuel Matovu, alias Mun*G, has set the record straight on rumors that he ditched hip-hop for kidandali music.
In an interview with Sanyuka Uncut, the lyricist dismissed the claims, insisting he has never turned his back on hip-hop.
Instead, he pointed to the genre’s natural evolution as the reason behind his sound’s changing vibe.
Hip-hop is a genre that keeps evolving. All over the world, hip-hop changes every three to five years.
Mun*G has been a mainstay in Uganda’s music industry for years, known for his humorous delivery and ability to connect with fans across generations.
As he prepares for his highly anticipated concert, The Champions Ball, scheduled for August 30 at the Kampala Serena Hotel, he is reminding fans that hip-hop is still at the heart of his music.
