Mystery Surrounds Death of TikToker Namulinde Diana as Police Arrest Suspects
Kira Road Police have launched investigations into a case of aggravated robbery and murder that occurred on the night of 3 February 2026 in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division, Kampala.
The deceased has been identified as Namulinde Diana, a 24 year old businesswoman and social media content creator who was living alone in an apartment in Kyanja.
Her body was discovered on 4 February after friends, concerned about her absence, went to check on her and found the apartment door open.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident may have involved a robbery.
On the same day, police arrested a security guard attached to the premises after he was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen. Some of the recovered items were later identified as belonging to the deceased.
A team of homicide detectives, together with Scene of Crime Officers, visited and documented the scene. Several exhibits were recovered, and statements were recorded from witnesses considered relevant to the investigation.
Police say progress has been made so far, with three suspects identified, two of whom are currently in custody to assist with investigations.
Authorities note that inquiries are still ongoing, and more arrests may be made as investigations continue.
The body of Namulinde Diana was conveyed to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination as police work to establish the full circumstances surrounding her death.
