Nasty C Speaks Out on Exploitation, Chooses Brother to Lead His Brand

South African rapper Nasty C has revealed why he chose to appoint his older brother as his manager.

Born Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, the Durban artiste said trust became his top priority as his career grew and business decisions became more complex.

For him, talent alone was not enough. The people handling the business side had to genuinely protect his interests.

He explained that the bond between an artist and manager is deeply personal.

Beyond booking shows and negotiating deals, it requires honesty about creative direction and finances.

According to Nasty C, artistes know who they want to work with, what they want to create and what they are not willing to compromise for money.

He also acknowledged the financial realities of the industry, stressing the need for full transparency when it comes to earnings.

The move followed past experiences where he felt some former partners did not prioritise his best interests.

After navigating major label systems and releasing projects such as Zulu Man with Some Power, Nasty C now says he is focused on long term control and building a structure rooted in trust and shared vision.
