Natasha Nyonyozi Reveals What Life as Miss Uganda Is Really About
Forget the crown and glitter, Miss Uganda 2024/25 Natasha Nyonyozi is proving that beauty pageants are about more than fancy gowns and flashing cameras.
On Sabrina Agasha’s It’s Never That Serious podcast, the reigning queen challenged the stereotype that beauty queens are only about appearances.
Being in Miss Uganda, they do stand for beauty beyond looks, and also you are going into Miss World, of which the heart of Miss World is beauty with a purpose. Most people think beauty pageants or beauty queens are just there for the glitz and the glam, but there is more to it at the end of the day.
Natasha revealed that much of her reign has been about community work rather than red-carpet moments.
I feel like being Miss Uganda, I would say maybe 60 or 70 percent of the work I have done has been community work, doing outreaches, doing project work. You know, going to different schools and communities.
With her bold words, Natasha Nyonyozi reminded everyone that beauty pageants are about purpose, not sparkle.
