Navio Redefines Live Music with Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience Concert
Kampala Serena Hotel was alive with energy as music fans gathered for Navio’s Hip Hop Orchestra Experience on October 4.
The event brought together rap and orchestral music in a way that has never been seen in Uganda before.
By evening, guests were arriving in style. The ballroom filled with music lovers, fashion fans, and Kampala’s top personalities, all eager to witness the show.
At just past nine, Navio, real name Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, took the stage. He opened with “Tumetoka Mbali,” backed by a full orchestra.
The mix of strings, brass, and hip‑hop beats created a fresh sound that immediately captured the crowd’s attention.
The energy stayed high as he moved into “Nawuliranga,” blending rap with orchestral arrangements seamlessly.
The performance was a journey through Navio’s career. His set included hits like “Hamadi,” “One and Only,” “Dream,” “Cold,” “Njogereza,” “Kigozi,” “Buguma,” “Rare,” “Ndi Mukodo,” “Abaana Beka,” “Whistle Song,” “Ngalo,” and “Badman From Kamwokya.”
Each song flowed naturally into the next, making the night memorable.
Navio took a moment to honor late friends including DJ Bushbaby, Cedric Babu, and Rajiv Ruparelia.
The night became even more special when his son Kingdom joined him on stage to perform “This Is My Kingdom,” giving the show a personal touch.
The audience included artistes, media figures, socialites, and cultural influencers. Performances from Martha Smallz, Lyrical G, The Mith, Goesteady, Elijah Kitaka, Levixone, Shena Skies, Cindy Sanyu, Flexx D’Paper, Babaluku, Locomotiv, and Swangz Avenue All Stars added variety and richness to the evening.
When the show ended, it was clear that Navio had done something extraordinary.
His Hip Hop Orchestra Experience was a new chapter for live performances in Uganda.
