NBS Plus Prom Awards 2025: The Official Top 10 Proms That Defined the Year
The 2025 prom season was nothing short of spectacular.
From glamorous themes and jaw dropping outfits to unmatched energy and flawless execution, schools across Uganda raised the bar and turned prom into a full cultural moment.
After weeks of excitement, reviews, visuals, and impact, the NBS Plus Prom Awards 2025 have officially released the Top 10 Proms of the Year, celebrating excellence, creativity, and unforgettable memories.
The Top 10 list was officially announced live on NBS Youth Voice during the Saturday 10th edition of the show.
The rankings, winners, and special recognitions were unveiled after two weeks of public voting, following the release of an official voting link that allowed students, parents, and the general public to have their say.
Before the final list was confirmed, the season’s biggest proms were also critically discussed on the Teenz Round Table, where young people debated impact, creativity, execution, fashion, and overall experience.
The outcomes reflected a balance of public opinion, teen led discussion, and editorial judgment, making the 2025 awards the most inclusive and representative prom rankings yet.
The result was a definitive record of a season that changed prom culture in Uganda.
The Official Top 10 Proms of 2025
1. Elite High School: The Prom That Made History
Elite High School hosted the most talked about prom of 2025. With over 400 carded attendees, elite level food service, flawless coordination, and unmatched energy, this was the benchmark event of the year.
They skipped a cocktail session to maintain flow, delivering one continuous show from red carpet to the main event. What truly separated Elite was the luxury car lineup, the biggest and most exclusive ever seen at a Ugandan school prom. This prom did not just trend. It broke the internet.
2. Seeta High School A Campus: Eclipse in Elegance
Held just days after Elite, Seeta A Campus responded with pure class. Their blue and white brunch style cocktail, powered by Maestro Band and Hard Vibes, was crowned the best cocktail experience of the year.
The main event featured a dramatic smoky entrance by the prom committee and a premium VIP experience.
Seeta A Campus also pioneered online voting for Prom King and Queen, pushing prom culture into the digital era.
3. Hana International School: Global Standards, No Limits
Hana International School once again proved why it consistently ranks among the best.
Their prom delivered premium décor, massive attendance, and a car show with live artist performance beside the vehicles, a rare and bold concept.
Even during periods of national restrictions, Hana delivered seamlessly, reflecting international school flexibility and organisation.
4. St Peter’s Naalya: Best Production of the Year
St Peter’s Naalya delivered a fully produced prom, handled by a professional production house.
From rehearsed red carpet entrances to stage transitions and the Prom King and Queen election, everything followed a scripted masterpiece.
Their James Bond 007 theme symbolised elegance, power, and cinematic excellence.
5. Vienna College: The Most Expensive and Most Lit Prom
Vienna College hosted the most expensive prom of 2025 under the breathtaking Enchanted Garden concept.
They combined graduation and prom on the same day, graduation in the morning followed by a high end night experience.
Fashion was elite, décor was massive, restrictions were minimal, and the night was so intense that DJs had to be shut down due to time.
Vienna delivered both the most lit and most luxurious prom night.
6. London College of St Lawrence: Night Culture Royalty
St Lawrence stayed true to its culture, elite fashion, strong student engagement, luxury arrivals, and night time energy.
Despite national limitations, they pulled off a high end prom that came alive after dark.
7. Ndejje SS × Trinity College Nabingo: Viral Collaboration
This joint prom went viral early in the year. The boys’ grand entrances, followed by the arrival of the Trinity girls, fashion statements, and crowd energy set the tone for the entire season.
8. Viva College: The Lakeside Experience
Viva College delivered one of the most unique prom experiences of the year. Their gold themed lakeside brunch at Lake Victoria set the mood before an epic dinner.
The red carpet experience was unmatched as non prom students stood aside to hype arrivals like celebrities. Viva owned the crowd energy.
9. St Balikuddembe SS Kisoga: Breakthrough Entry
Making their first ever Top 10 appearance, Kisoga invested heavily in décor, fashion, cars, and performances. Azawi’s live performance became the highlight, earning the award for Best Artist Performance.
10. Merryland High School Entebbe: Waterfront Elegance
Held directly on the shores of Lake Victoria, Merryland’s prom featured scenic décor, a long red carpet, and a steady fleet of cars. It closed the Top 10 with class and strong vibes.
Beyond the Top 10
Beyond the official Top 10, NBS Plus also recognised regional standouts, international school excellence, and the creatives who shaped the prom experience behind the scenes.
