Nicki Minaj Faces Online Backlash as Deportation Petition Gains Momentum

Nicki Minaj is facing fresh controversy after a Change.org petition calling for her deportation to Trinidad gained massive attention online.

The petition has spread widely over the past few days, attracting close to 70,000 signatures at the time of writing.

Supporters of the petition argue that the rapper is not a United States citizen, citing claims she made on social media in 2024.

The petition was created by a user named Pedonika Minaj, who accuses the artist of being out of control and alleges troubling behavior.

Among the listed reasons are claims that Minaj has harassed Beyoncé and Jay Z, alongside criticism of her marriage to Kenneth Petty, a registered sex offender.

The petition further alleges that Minaj has defended Petty aggressively, including accusations of intimidating individuals connected to his past case.

The online campaign surfaced shortly after Minaj made a surprise appearance at a Turning Point USA event.

During the appearance, she openly praised President Donald Trump and Vice President J D Vance, describing them as relatable leaders with strong character.

Her remarks sparked swift backlash across social media, leading several public figures, including Joe Budden, to distance themselves from her.

Minaj has yet to publicly respond to the petition.
