“Nigeria Wins” as IShowSpeed Picks Nigerian Jollof Over Senegal’s
IShowSpeed has caused excitement among Nigerian fans after naming Nigerian jollof rice the best in the world.
The famous American streamer, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., joined the long running jollof debate during a livestream in Lagos on January 21.
He compared Nigerian jollof to Senegalese jollof and gave Nigeria the edge.
Speed had arrived in Nigeria from Senegal, where he streamed the country’s AFCON trophy parade.
But once he got to Lagos, the conversation quickly shifted from football celebrations to food, and he made it clear which country impressed him more.
His comment has since added fresh energy to the jollof rivalry, with Nigerians proudly claiming another win in the popular West African food battle.
