Nigerian Actor Jim Iyke Slams Modern Feminism for Creating Gender War
Veteran Nollywood star Jim Iyke has slammed modern feminism, calling it a movement that has lost its way and even borders on being criminal.
In a recent chat with The EchoRoom, the actor said feminism started out fighting real problems like patriarchy but has now turned into a battle between men and women.
Jim Iyke claimed that a popular women’s magazine once used feminism as a clever sales trick, convincing women to challenge men and reject them altogether.
He says some women took this idea too far, making it a lifestyle and a new social norm.
The 48-year-old actor criticized modern feminism for being full of double standards and confusing gender roles.
He believes men and women have different jobs in life, and real balance comes when they work together, not compete.
Jim said this “two-faced” attitude in today’s feminism misses the point and is why he questions the whole movement.
