Nigerian Actor Nkubi Opens Up About Job Rejections Over His Physique

Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, widely known as Nkubi, has shared how discrimination over his physique pushed him toward acting.

Speaking on a recent episode of the One On One podcast alongside his wife, the Nigerian actor said he only began to fully understand the challenges of being a little person after secondary school.

According to him, repeated rejection from minor job opportunities made it clear that employers were unwilling to hire him.

Nkubi said those experiences influenced his decision to pursue a career in entertainment.

He also revealed that his daughter now faces online trolling because of her size.

The couple said they were aware of the possibility of having a child with dwarfism and prepared themselves emotionally. However, they admitted that negative comments still hurt.

Nkubi’s wife added that a doctor once advised her to conceive with another man to avoid having a child with dwarfism, advice she rejected.
