Nigerian Actress Arrested for Misusing Naira Note on Camera
Kannywood actress Samha Inuwa has been arrested over a viral video involving Nigerian currency.
Authorities say the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) took her into custody in Kano on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
The arrest followed the spread of a clip on social media showing her using Naira notes to wipe mucus from her nose.
Speaking on the development, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale said the video prompted swift action.
Investigators then tracked her down and brought her in for questioning over alleged currency mutilation.
For now, she remains in custody as investigations continue.
The Commission adds that she will be taken to court once the case file is ready.
