No Nudity or Indecency Is Okay Forever, Sophie Nantongo Warns Artistes

In a recent media interview, “Wansumulula” hitmaker Sophie Nantongo addressed the growing trend of nudity and indecency, particularly among female musicians.

She expressed deep concerns about the long-term effects of such behavior, pointing out that while it may seem acceptable in the short term, it cannot be sustained forever.

“No nudity or indecency is okay forever. You can fool someone for a while, but you cannot fool them forever,” she said.

The veteran artiste also weighed in on the issue of vulgarity in music.

She believes that while some musicians may use shock value and explicit content to attract attention, this approach has a limited shelf life.

As the industry continues to evolve, Nantongo’s message stands as a call for musicians, especially those just starting, to focus on lasting values rather than fleeting attention-grabbing tactics.
