Nobat Confirms New SACCO After Promoters Fallout Over UGX 10 Billion

What began as a disagreement among promoters over UGX 10 billion has now produced a new SACCO.

Events promoter Norbert Twezire, popularly known as Nobat Events, has confirmed that Kampala and Beyond, the cooperative he formed after a fallout with Abtex, is now officially registered and authorized to operate.

The disagreement stemmed from the funds issued by President Yoweri Museveni to promoters’ SACCOs.

Feeling sidelined in the arrangement, Nobat and a group of promoters chose to break away and establish their own structure.

With the registration now secured, Nobat said:

Today we are very happy because our SACCO, Kampala and Beyond, has finally been cleared and is now fully authorized to operate.

He then addressed those who doubted him and stated that his group is ready to pursue its share of the allocated funds.

This message goes out to those who thought I would not succeed. We are now fully legalized, and we are ready to claim our share of the money that President Museveni allocated to promoters.

He closed by thanking supporters who stood by him throughout the process.

I thank everyone who supported us throughout this journey. Finally, it is done.
