Nobat Events Eyes EALA Seat After NRM Primary Loss
Nobat is making another political move, this time setting his sights on a regional seat.
The events organiser, real name Norbert Twizire, has picked nomination forms from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission, signaling his interest in representing Uganda at the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) under the gender category.
This comes after his loss in the NRM primaries last year, a result he says did not slow him down.
Instead, Nobat sees it as part of a bigger path.
Sometimes when you do not make it through the NRM primaries, it is not failure. Maybe God is redirecting you to something greater.
He believes the EALA position could be that next step.
Nobat also expressed confidence in his support base, saying it continues to grow as he pushes forward with his political ambitions.
I have massive support, and I am ready to serve my party and my country. This time, I believe everything is aligning in my favor.
He added that he is ready to meet all party requirements, including securing his NRM membership card, as he prepares for the next stage of his journey.
