Not Many of My Fans Can Afford a Serena Concert – Biswanka
Ugandan singer Derrick Biswanka, stage name Biswanka, has given an update on his dream of staging a concert at Kampala Serena Hotel, an ambition he first revealed last year.
While appearing on BTM TV, the “Ontunulemu” hitmaker explained that the plan has not moved forward as expected, but insisted the dream is still alive.
Concert? It is just that the plans got derailed, but the dream is still alive.
Despite the delay, Biswanka believes the idea could still happen as his music catalogue continues to grow and more people come to believe in his work.
As we continue to grow the catalogue and the number of people who believe in us increases, you never know. Even if it is not Serena.
However, he also pointed out that the financial situation of his fans could affect the possibility of such a concert.
According to him, many of his fans may not yet be financially stable to attend a concert at such a high-end venue.
Even if it is not Serena. Personally, I believe I have a lot fans, but many of them may not be well off financially. The fans who can afford Serena may not be that many.
For now, Biswanka admits Serena may be a stretch, adding that Lugogo Cricket Oval is a more realistic option.
